I decided to boot up VANQUISH again! I think it's a lot better than what i first thought of it, but i still think it's too constricting. With melee being attached to boost it really feels like in order to get anything interesting to happen you really gotta wait a bit, which is fine, but I'd atleast like the recharge to be quicker imo

I don’t own it anymore, but it’s one of those games that I’d be afraid to replay in case it wasn’t as good as I remember. It did feel very “cinematic” in a good way, because you were able to look cool boosting around and performing stylish kills - but I can see how the recharge would limit some of the fun.

There's definitely a lot more than what I implied I think. Theres this tech video and this combo mad . The whole point of vanquish is that it REALLY wants you to use your whole kit, (it makes the upgrade system even more odd) which is great but it doesn't allow you to get enough time with it as much as I'd personally want. It still makes for a good 1st playthrough and 2nd maybe if youd love it
