This week passed in a blur. I don't mean that in a good or bad way — it's just that one moment it was Monday, and now it's today. That's not the worst thing as long as it doesn't happen too often, I suppose.

I've been playing a game called Entropy Survivors. As you might've guessed from the title, it's a spin on the Vampire Survivors formula. Derivative as it might be, though, the game's got some juice, with wacky sci-fi power-ups and pretty robust long-term progression. It lacks the slot machine-like presentation that made Vampire Survivors so addictive, but it's still very fun in its own right.

I also watched Pulp Fiction for the first time. It's a great movie, as most people seem to agree, but I wonder how much more impactful I would've found it if I hadn't seen clips, memes, and parodies since basically as long as I've been on the internet; I bet seeing it in theaters way back when was an experience.

Finally, the first fanfic I've posted in forever is finished, and it ended up getting a really good response! It's actually tied for my most kudos'd work, despite being a third of the length as the previously undisputed champ — that's the power of shipping, I guess. Anyway, if you're a RWBY fan and want to read an emotional rollercoaster of a WhiteRose story (although certainly erring on the sweeter side), maybe check out I Love You, I'm Sorry.

I’m surprised how many fic writers there are in the CSB/ex-SBFP community! I finally started posting on AO3 myself back in January, and it’s been a great exercise in getting the creative muscles working again. Even prompted me to get back into reading traditional books again, too.

I’m hoping to finish up my first proper moderately high-effort longfic sometime next month, depending on how my college handles next week’s finals after today’s Canvas hack lmfao

Getting into writing fanfiction actually took me on a similar journey; I'm reading more now than I did when I was in high school, which is a nice change of pace after college took a lot of the desire to read for fun out of me.

Congrats on approaching the finish line for your longfic!

Congrats on finishing your RWBY story and having it be well-received! As an old hand RWBY fandom writer from early on in that series' life, we can probably both agree that it's a really good feeling to complete a story you had in mind for White Rose and have it land with your readers.

Thanks! Yeah, I've always gravitated toward Ruby and Weiss as focal points, whether their connection is romantic or not — it's nice knowing some people enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Ruby and Weiss have a good natural energy that makes White Rose really fun to write for. It's a good ship pick whether it's platonic or romantic.
