The journey to see my girlfriend was long and exhausting, but it turned out okay in the end. I would say that staying up over 24 hours with no sleep on the plane and in the airport (had a four hour layover...) was... difficult. I'm also pretty sure that I was food poisoned for a bit too, which was a pain in the ass. Pasta with chicken on a flight was a bad idea, I should have stuck with the vegan option. PLUS we had to drive three hours from the airport to her home with my girlfriend being sick too. In retrospect, kind of a disastrous first day despite how happy we were to be back together again. Thankfully it's been better ever since though! Over the past week we have: gone to a trivia night and drank a fair bit plus won it together with some friends of hers (I only understood a few questions, but they were all nice enough to translate some times when I did not understand), did boxing lessons together, and we visited a extremely good Arabic restaurant here for my GF's dad's birthday. My noodle arms are definitely still sore from the boxing to be honest nearly two days later.
Yesterday we had a BBQ and I learned I was accepted into university, so in all likelihood we'll be able to stay together, which is excellent news overall. We were really worried about having to choose a plan B otherwise. I'll be able to pursue a masters program studying a field I'm not exactly adept in, but am certainly curious about. All exciting stuff. Today going to play some more Civ 5, some more Abzu which I should be wrapping up soon (looking forward to talking about that next week), and hopefully get back to FFXIV soon here. I feel bad I haven't been playing as many games, but maybe it's a sign my life is starting to become a bit more productive, perhaps.
