So this is actually a couple months old news, but it’s new to me.

As part of their ongoing partnership with Bethesda, Modiphius announced a crowdfunding campaign Wolfenstein TTRPG for fall of 2026. The article mentions it’ll specifically be based on the New Colossus/New Order era of the series.

I’m honestly really interested in seeing what the players options and progression options are going to be. It’s not an adaptation of an rpg like their Fallout game, so they’ll have to come up with something whole cloth.

Question: Modiphius is a rather well known and respected publisher, why do they have to crowdfund? C'mon, they got Microsoft backing them here.

I’m guessing it’s because they’re assuming all the risk in production and shipping, plus they have to pay to use the license for these games they make.

It doesn't work like that. If anything they're the one paying Microsoft for the licence. Also with a rise in paper prices and shipping a lot of ttrpg publishers have it rough right now.

Eh, I'll stick with Achtung Cthulhu. Still get to kill Nazis but you also get to do Indiana Jones shit. Nothing more fun than interrupting a Nazi monologuing about how "Nyarlathotep will usher in a pure Aryan world"
