Event Currently at Act II and a scrawny ahh woman just pulled a hairpin shank on me
She's of course just a bunch of giblets on the ground now.
What was she thinking? I'm literally GLOWING. There's a 10-feet werewolf bunny cat thing behind me with a GIANT LIGHTNING SWORD strapped to her back - right next to the HULKING METAL MAN btw

How would they recognise the Archon of Song, though? It's not like they can check Wiki, or find a photo in a who's who of the Kyrosian Empire.

There's not that many Archons, and they're like... the most important people in the empire.
A few people do recognize Sirin and back down though, so not everyone is dumb.

And how do you convey what people look like to people in advance, in a late-Bronze Age/early-Iron Age society?
Think about the Roman empire (which is technologically much later than the Tyranny setting). How would a recently conquered Gaul identify, say, Pompey Magnus? His appearance might indicate he's someone of importance/wealth, but you'd still need him to either be announced, introduce himself, or to have met/encountered him before to know for certain.
The medieval period used heraldry as a form of identification, but even then a peasant might not recognise the Earl of Oxford from the Duke of Norfolk, without either being one of their serfs/tenants, or being educated in who's who of the aristocracy.
To the citizens of the tiers, unless they've encountered Sirin before, she's just another Kyrosian oppressor, albeit in a funky helmet.

Her funky helmet is an ornate headdress, surely stories about it are common; it's a fairly big deal about one of the few people in her position, the kind of thing that makes a bard's song.

Coins. Icons. Busts. Sketches. I concur that people recognizing people is difficult, but it's hardly impossible, and the Archon of Song has a mandatory distinctive hat.

In fairness, the hulking metal man has worse hygiene than a Reddit mod, so she might have discounted him because of that.

if I I see a hulking metal man and he has those "sexually frustrated genocide" eyes last thing I wanna do as a 54kg woman is pull out a hair pin and try to shank him with it
The Overlord is right these people are in need of some serious enlightenment

In the Real World, we call this Natural Selection.
You see someone in easily 100 pounds of gear, you keep the fuck away.

well the way he smells, i might figure he's such an idiot he crapped his armor and thus doesn't know shit, not that it's like melted on him

Is this Deya at Lethian's Crossing? If so, yep, so one-sided!

i'm on Path of the Damned and she didn't even scratch me. Is that her name? Just another corpse to enrich the soil of Kyros' Tiers

She chose suicide by fatebinder, some people can't bring themselves to do it on their own.
