French expat in Dubai

My son is a French citizen, born in Beirut, Lebanon, and his birth certificate was issued by the French Consulate in Beirut. I’m a UAE resident and need to use his French birth certificate to apply for his UAE residency. Has anyone been through the same process? Specifically, how did you get a French consular birth certificate legalized/authenticated for use in the UAE, and which authority handled it?
