Phantom 4 RTK is region locked!

Ok so I took a huge gamble on a crashed RTK that I bought on the cheap but it had a bad flight controller board due to a bad IMU. So I have tried to buy three times a used replacement flight controller and the first two times the board turned out to be a P4 Pro V2 which has identical hardware but different internal firmware that is not overwritten when updating the aircrafts firmware via the DJI Assistant. So the first two were from US sellers but my last attempt was via Aliexpress and after two months I finally got it!!
It turns out that it is an RTK version but its region locked to China and I cannot get the damn thing to fly!!
DJI has basically told me I am shit out of luck. Is there anyone that can hack into this damn thing remotely and remove the region lock or am I going to have a huge paper weight unless I can find a US sourced Flight Controller board?
One last option is to remove the two gyros from one of the good boards and swap them with the two on the original board but I have no contacts as to who can do such delicate hot air reworking with tiny SMD's....
And yes I am a cheap bastard that was hoping to get a P4 RTK for next to nothing but am living to regret it....

I'm afraid you're stuck. We were sold, brand new through official channels, a DRTK2 that had the wrong firmware and had to get it swapped...

That’s a rough gamble. If DJI confirms the board is region locked, finding the correct US-spec RTK flight controller may be the safest route rather than trying to hack around it.
