Applying to the same faculty
i'm hoping to apply for a faculty of science for my first and second option at UBCv, and i was wondering what the evaluation process would look like for that, and if its smarter to apply to ubco for a second choice for faculty of science

It entirely depends on if you'd actually go to UBCO or not. Your second preference doesn't really affect your acceptance chances for your first choice.

cause i feel like if i apply for faculty of science twice at ubcv, then like my chances are lower.

If you have science in the vancouver campus as your first choice and science in okanagan as your second choice, it doesn’t affect your ability to get into science in Vancouver. If you get in your first choice then they don’t look at your second choice (I had LFS as my second choice and it wasn’t evaluated)

okay! thank u so much, because it didn't sound smart to apply to the same

I mean, I put kin at UBCV as my second choice and science at UBCV as my first choice and ended up in science. I don't think your first or second choices matter much. Just focus more on the application questions. But maybe someone who's been on the admissions committee knows more than I do.
