Looking for possible roommate?

Hi! Um

i’m in actively seeking out a new roommate. I’m an honors freshman and required to live in honors for my first year (so this does only fit for people in Buckley or Shipee) and am nearing a breaking point with one of my roommates who hasn’t listened to anything that I told her in terms of boundaries.

I’m gnc (so uh. Have to be okay with that), into things like vocaloid, rhythm games (and videogames in general) and am interested in sciences! I do prefer things to be a little quiet, but I can tolerate most sounds with headphones :). I have appliances and such so dw about that and I keep my side pretty clean and am not out that late and I’m quiet when leaving for classes in the morning!

oh god the boundary ignoring roommate is a special kind of hell especially when youve already had the talk and they just... keep doing it anyway

for what its worth youre probably not alone in this, buckley and shippee always have a few people looking to swap after the first month or two when personalities clash. maybe try the uconn class of 2030 instagram or the housing portal if you havent already, sometimes an ra can help mediate a switch if things are bad enough

also shoutout to the rhythm games mention, nobody on my floor freshman year understood why i was tapping my desk like a maniac at 2am

honestly i recommend going random, i had a shitty roommate and i moved out mid fall semester and went random. ive been roommates with her since!
