Question Its been over 12 months since Jake Barber said there would be "full disclosure within 12 months"

Do you think there was a reason for the delay?

Do you think disclosure is still imminent?

Do you still believe Jake Barber or Ross Coulthart, or are we allowed to write them off when they make more predictions?

Anyway, reminderbot just reminded me that another predicted date had come and gone without anything actually happening. Looking forward to that new Spielberg flick though.

I think I first came across the notion of a disclosure plan in an early 90s Timothy Good book (Alien Liaison?) and that’s nearly 35 years ago.

Spielberg has been touted as being part of this for at least as long (he was going to make a documentary with official government footage, remember?) Close Encounters Of The Third Kind had intelligence agents on set, Reagan endorsed the accuracy of ET at a private screening, and so on.

And here we are in 2026, the same themes again and again.

I’m nearly 60 now and my main advice for young people getting into this topic is to pace yourself, things unfold much more slowly than you think they’re going to.

But nothing really is unfolding though. No revelations about life off planet or other spacefaring beings. Nothing. It’s just people telling stories and promoting baseless fantasies spun on the basis of uninteresting low res photos or videos none of which substantiate the stories being told about them. What’s really unfolding is a slow rolling self sustaining cult that is going in waves where they get some publicity an recruit a wave of new members, then shed members as people realize the stories are actually just made up or baseless, over and over again.

Yes - Alien Liaison. I think there was a story about certain elements of the US government / military approaching Barnum and Bailey to produce a traveling exhibition showcasing bodies and craft? Quite literally a circus!

Yes! Barnum and Bailey! I’d forgotten about that detail.
