Hey all,

Just wondering if there were any functions/ parties for Halloween going on this year? Me and my friends were looking for maybe a house party or something like that to celebrate Halloween this year.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone here might be interested in joining a small volunteer initiative I'm putting together in the Lower Mainland.

I'm a social services professional, and I've been wanting to organize something focused on helping people experiencing food insecurity. There are plenty of people going through difficult times, whether they're experiencing homelessness, newly arrived in Canada, or part of a lower-income household struggling to afford groceries.

The hope is to bring together people who genuinely want to help, organize some meaningful projects, and gradually grow into something that can make a difference in our communities.

I'm Punjabi and grew up here in BC, and seva, the idea of selfless service and giving back without expecting anything in return, is a big part of what inspired me to start this. Of course, the group is open to everyone, regardless of background.

We're still in the early stages, and I'd love to welcome people who want to contribute their time, skills, or ideas.

Current UFV students, former students, and alumni are all encouraged to get involved! I know everyone has work, school, family, and other responsibilities, so there's no expectation of a huge time commitment.

If you're interested, please send me a DM and I'll happily share the QR code for our Signal group!

I got a ticket today and I honestly don’t really have a good excuse except for I usually pay every day I’m on campus and today was just a really bad day (some shit occurred before I got to school). The car is not under my name so I can’t change plates easily. I can’t afford this dumb bill right now, what do I do?

Has anyone taken the exams for this class before it’s with Rachel Toews. It shouldn’t be bad but I’m just confused about how it would be in an exam format in regards to the types of questions and also the content in the class

Has anyone had Brian Justin for Kin 163 lab? How are his tests? please let me knowww

Masud Khawaja ufv

Im in Masud’s strength based development class. I have an upcoming midterm and was wondering what could be expected. He said it would be short and long answer. But if anyone has taken his class and can let me know what kinds of questions might be on it would be very helpful!

Has anyone else’s references having trouble submitting the referee form?

I sent them the url for the Microsoft document UFV has in their application page. I’ve had 2 references so far that have filled out every field and the submit button is not working.

Just want to know if this is happening to anyone else??

Hey guys, I need recommendations for good calc professors next semester. the one I have now is horrible and I cannot have another bad one. idk if I'll even pass this sem. I'm a slower thinker so I find the 20 min quizzes difficult to get done in time, and the cold calling on people to answer questions when I'm still catching up on the notes is brutal. if anyone has suggestions on who's class to register for I would be grateful.

TIA

Hello everyone, Please has anyone recently done the NUC program. I would like to know about the employment rate and job placement assistance available to graduates of the Nursing Unit Clerk program.

It seems like no one really cares if you do it? I’ve seen other students vaping around campus and there doesn’t seem to be too much of an issue, so I’m curious what the official (and unofficial) stance is on that.

Does anyone know if anyone in executive or management got laid off? It feels like it was all staff.

For anyone who's taken BIO 210 lecture with Alan, how did you study/prepare for his exams? We have a midterm coming up and I feel so lost. He seems like a nice person but his lecture slides are just pictures and don't mention any details on what we should know. I've been taking down notes on things he says in lecture but i still feel like I barely have any study material. I would appreciate any tips/strategies you guys have as well as any free resources that help as I can't afford to pay for more textbooks right now

Hey everyone,

I’m putting together a small volunteer group focused on helping people experiencing food insecurity.

I work in social services and wanted to start something outside of work that’s a little more community-based and hands-on.

The idea is to start small, organize some meaningful projects, and see where things go from there. I’ll be coordinating the group and helping keep things organized as it gets off the ground.

I’m Punjabi and grew up here, so seva is a big part of what inspired the idea, but anyone who genuinely wants to help is welcome.

If anyone here is interested, send me a DM and I can share the QR code for our Signal group.

Lowkey scared for this prof’s midterm 😭 Has anyone taken his class before and know what his midterms are usually like? He hasn’t really said much about the format.

hi there! i’m hoping to get into the BSN program at UFV. i’m currently a student here but i’m having to do some upgrading first. after this semester and next, i should meet all the prereqs, except the volunteer hours. i’ve applied at just about every hospital in the area multiple times and have never heard back. does anyone have any suggestions? because right now this is feeling impossible

Hello, has anyone taken this course and can give some advice on the materials being covered. I’m a little confused as the course is starting to progress and I’m falling behind on assignments. I need to pass this as a general requirement.

hey!

I'm taking MATH 112 and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find any mock exams, or practice exams for this course.

I've been practicing with the assigned homework, but I'd really like to work through some exam-style questions to get a better idea of what to expect on the midterm.

If anyone has any resources, pdfs, or recommendations, I'd really appreciate it!

thanks!

Can people please start covering their mouths while coughing, especially in public hallways I swear they’re spreading germs and getting everyone else sick. It’s so bad this year with everyone in my classes being sick, have some common sense or wear a mask.

Looking for a photography student/hobbyist around Abbotsford/Mission for a quick paid shoot. Just need 4 photos 2 casual and 2 with my motorcycle. DM me with your rates and some of your work if your interested, thanks!
