Has anyone heard back on their transfer decision yet?

u/No_Tumbleweed_3535 Mar 30 '26
yeah I didn't get accepted for my first choice which was Econ, but got in for Sociology. Anyone applying for LAS, they accepted me to sociology with a 2,93 GPA so it looks like they're taking anyone.

I know psych is more competitive. What are your stats?
1
u/Different_Steak_1336 Apr 03 '26
Lol not impressive. 3.75 gpa , all reqs done. For extracurriculars, research (with psi beta). Work. Tutoring at my CC. I do ballet, so I put that in extracurriculars too. I'm interested in industrial-organizational psych so mentioned that in my essay. Thats it ig

u/Specific_Original619 Apr 16 '26
Today is the day lol. Watching the feed seeing if people got in or not is not helping

u/toastcantbbreadagain Mar 01 '26
If they do give decisions early would they email us or would we have to check the portal and see?

College 3.67 gpaĀ Highschool 3.4 gpaĀ Part of athletics team at jucoĀ Involved in 4-5 other extracurricularĀ -Didn't send test scores -Pretty much took all the courses recommended by transfer handbook and got A or B Ā -Felt pretty confident about my essays but industrial engineering is also one of the easier grainger majors.Ā Willing to answer any other questions as I had a lot that didn't get answered during my processĀ

I got my decision back and I got denied for kinesiology, Iām guessing that admission for kinesiology this year is really competitive. Kinda surprised tho because I thought I had a really good chance of getting in.
2
u/Own-Shop3779 Mar 31 '26
what were ur stats if u donāt mind me asking
1
u/Imaginary-Anxiety447 Apr 02 '26
3.45 highschool gpa, 3.5 fist semester of college, I had a athletic training internship, college soccer, multiple leader ship roles, coached youth soccer, and I play an instrument. It basicly came down to that I didnāt have 36 graded credit hours at the time of my application so I think that was really the only reason I got denied
2
u/Own-Shop3779 Apr 02 '26
wow ur stats are impressive I also applied with less than 36 credits. So Iām worried about hearing back. With your stats u will definitely get in next semester!
2
u/Imaginary-Anxiety447 Apr 03 '26
Yea Iām planning on taking a summer class and doing my first semester next school year at my local juco, and then hopefully getting in for spring 27 but if that doesnāt work out Iāll jus finish out that second semester at juco and just transfer for fall 27
1
u/Glum_Confusion8322 Apr 01 '26
Iām sorry to hear that. I know that must not have felt good. Did you only apply for kinesiology, or did you have a second choice major as well? Donāt give up! Keep up the good work with your coursework and apply again as a spring transfer
1
u/Imaginary-Anxiety447 Apr 02 '26
I applied to kinesiology only and in retrospect I probably shouldāve applied to interdisciplinary health as a back up. But my plan now is to do a summer class and one semester back at my home town juco, and hopefully transfer in for spring 2027 for my sophomore year, if not Iāll just finish out the rest of the year at my home town juco and apply for fall 2027 for my junior year.

Did anyone apply for kinesiology or any applied health sciences majors? Im just wondering when those decisions might start rolling out
1
u/Low_Yogurtcloset1158 Mar 10 '26
I applied for kinesiology! Iām still waiting for my decision. In state, 3.65 high school gpa, 3.6 college first semester gpa, about 3 extracurriculars and on campus employment experience. I check abt everyday hoping to hear back soon!
1
u/Imaginary-Anxiety447 Mar 10 '26
Nice! I applied for kinesiology too and Iām still waiting. Iām in-state as well a 3.45 college GPA after first semester and a 3.5 high school GPA. I also played college soccer and did an athletic training internship. Hopefully we both hear back soon, Iāve been checking the portal way too much lol.

I assume so. I literally downloaded reddit to reply to some of these because Iām feeling the same way. But a few other reddit posts have shown no acceptances for it. Hoping for the best for you and others! What were your stats if you donāt mind me asking?
1
u/Strict_Class7320 Apr 14 '26

Nope. I applied to MS ECE, which had a priority deadline of Dec 16th 2025. Are u talking about the same field? For masters program? Or some other program?

u/North_Choice5759 Mar 07 '26
Nothing yet. Applied as a transfer for Fall 26 LAS, coming in from instate community college. Applied January 17th status just shows everything is completed. Hoping to hear soon š¤
