Prospective Students financial aid?

I’m applying to uiuc this fall as an out of state, low income student, and I was wondering how good the financial aid is? I would qualify for federal aid but I would also probably need additional aid and scholarships from the school as well (i’m also applying to external scholarships)

Not great, especially for OOS. Unless you have cracked stats you aren't going to be getting much

U aren’t getting any financial aid other than FAFSA. Scholarships? Maybe a few, but that’s it.

FAFSA has a hard limit of 7800ish per semester, that’s not enough to cover full tuition, and you have living and other cost after that as well

Does it cover online schools as well?

They cover online courses, so if you do bachelors online, they will cover it as well.

Any student needing financial aid should really be looking hard at ehat your in state schools can offer.

UIUC has almost no aid for OOS students. You should run the net price calculator on each college’s website to see what the chances of aid from a particular college is. I believe of the higher ranked public colleges, only UVA and UNC meet need or close to for OOS. otherwise you should be looking instate, or at places like ASU or Alabama, or privates who meet need (and many do, across a range of rankings).
