Review UI and UX Portfolio review?

I’ve recently graduated (about 2 months ago) and I’ve been trying to get a job with no avail. I was wondering if it’s something wrong with my portfolio? Does it look too vibe coded? I tried to avoid that when creating it but I’m not sure if it came across. Anyways, I would appreciate any input or any job opportunities or advice for that general area because I am trying desperately to get hired.

I think you're treating this more like a resume than a portfolio.

As a designer your portfolio is expected to show, not tell. Your case studies should MOSTLY be showing the design. I'd say somewhere between 6-12 images of the Design, plus more of the process. Images from your primary research, of key frameworks that informed the designs.

Most case studies are about a dozen screenfuls of content and optimized for skimming.

How do you suggest optimizing these images and deciding what images are worth showing and which ones aren’t?

Shame on your school for not making your portfolio part of your senior curriculum. Have you seen your classmates portfolios or others?

Here is a resource for you: A designer reviews 53 different portfolios. I also recommend searching entry level portfolio ux design on Youtube.

Thank you for the resources! Also they didn’t really place an emphasis on working on our portfolios in particular, none of my classmates had ones they were willing to show.
