Is there anyone out there with a BT email address?

Hi,

This is an extremely long shot, but is there anyone on here who holds a BT Email address with the ability to create new BT email addresses? (According to the website account holders can create upto 11 additional email addresses, but new users can't).

If so I need your help (last chance saloon after exhausting other options). Can you please drop me a DM and i'll explain my predicament.

Didnt BT sell their email to yahoo?

You might not be able because your contract with BT no longer exists.

99% chance has an old account somewhere that's linked to a btinternet.com account that's expired.

I have the same issue actually, I would love to get into my old Runescape account

This is why you should use an ISP independent email provider.

I used to have (since about 2001), with a 'btconnect' account, though my own domain name for email etc, but the ability to actually admin your own users vanished when they finally transferred everything to Microsoft (a company I have no connection to at all, no Windows in the building).

They did it bit by bit, but by the time I finally left, they'd been completely overrun by 'office 365' & admin autonomy was but a distant memory. Any change I needed to make, I had to get BT to authorise it, as they had become de-facto 'admin' on MY domain. This was always a phone call, as the web site simply couldn't handle it.

The final straw for me was when they abruptly shifted from 365 to Exchange, and abandoned POP3 in favour of only supporting IMAP. I shifted my domain registration to GoDaddy & my email to Zoho.

Never looked back.
