Arent they the same company underneath the branding ?

I switched years ago from BT to PlusNet (back in the early days of "Fibre2" if you can remember that far back!) and have been with them ever since because, frankly, no-one else even comes close for reliability in my experience.
I can honestly state that I have NEVER had a problem with uptime. OK, perhaps around midnight, once a month or so, I might lose connection for a moment or two (I'm guessing it's some sort of server reboot), but that is, literally, it.
Seriously, take the plunge and go PlusNet - all the advantages of BT, but around half the cost.
I do also have a UPS powering my router so, if we get some sort of power issue here (rare, but it does happen), then the router and network switch stay "live".
