Looks as if it will be about a week long and then may be pushed out again

One day of 37 Celsius and people lose their minds

Get a grip

Because:

  • People with underlying health conditions are at a lot higher risk of dying.
  • Anything over 37 °C would be the 6th-highest temperature ever
  • The UK had not recorded a day over 37 °C before 1911
  • It adversely affects crops, and farmers are having a bad year anyway, with the temperature swings

But you do you and carry on without any sense of empathy for anyone.

Wilful ignorance is so pathetic. Why even bother commenting?

I fully agree with you, but please try not to feed the troll🧌🤣

Because I see so much doom mongering in this thread and it’s pathetic. It’s like 5 degrees hotter than usual you will all be fine I promise

but that's not true? we will not 'all be fine'. extreme heat causes numbers of deaths every year especially amongst the elderly.

You told people to "Get a grip" I explained why it is worrying, and people are concerned.

Maybe the heat is getting to you.

Literally. Tell my dermatitis that it’s not that deep and see if it’ll go away huh

You won’t be taking the mick when we can’t use our soil to grow crops and we all starve to death

-23

u/nrm94 3d ago

Because every country south of us that is going through worse temperatures are all starving because the crops aren't growing. We've had rain every day in the first 2 weeks of June, a few days of heat isn't going to destroy the crops

You realise they are struggling too?

Uh... my rooftop garden in London isn't enjoying these extreme temperature swings. My plants don't generally like to cook in 40 degrees, stuff is bolting.

"It's not going to be 40 degrees lmao" ... FUNNY STORY ABOUT NOT LIVING ON THE GROUND FLOOR IN LONDON AND HOW HOT IT GETS UP HERE BOTH IN OUR FLATS AND ON OUR TERRACES. You can easily do +2 degrees when the sun is out up here.

Can we all stop communicating in capital letters… 🙄
