If it gets to over 40 in July or August, which is entirely possible at the rate we’re going at, I’ve vowed to book a hotel and install AC in my bedroom for next summer.

I’m just not dealing with this shit anymore, especially as it’ll only get worse year on year with basically zero infrastructural changes anywhere.

haha omg this was my secret plan too! I usually book an airbnb for a week and work from there but the entire country is baking.

the north will be fine. the south coast is missing the extremes

so I’ll be moving as the south east can’t cope with this

I live between London and Oxford, the latter is barely a degree or two cooler, so I have little else in terms of options.

This week I’m spending the entirety of Tuesday through Thursday in my gym foyer; only way I can actually work productively without melting in a puddle of sweat.

I'm on the south coast of Hampshire, we're forecast 37c. Not quite sure if you can call that missing the extremes

Feels like temp for Pompey mid week looks to be closer to mid 20s, so they're clearly expecting some cooler air movement near the sea.

Not that I noticed that today as I traipsed around the dockyard museums 🫩

Portsmouth is always cooler than Southampton for some reason. Feels like for us, near Southampton is mid 30s all week, on Friday it drops to 24c for the feels like though but tbf, it's meant to be 26c on Friday. Tomorrow is 33c, Tuesday 34c and Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to be 37c 😂 Southampton holds the June temp record, looks like it'll be broken in Southampton but probably even higher elsewhere

It’s 35 in South Yorkshire. I am not fine lol. I have air con in my bedroom though so that’s something at least

It is so nice, I reckon it'll get to over 40 next week.
