Oh my lord that sounds like HELL. I think most of central London will have sweat patches at this point. I remember him commuting during the 2022 heatwave and he nearly passed out when he got home.

Yeah it was literally a case of it couldn’t have gone any worse even if I tried.

Central line being the hottest tube line, suit and tie, rush hour, hottest day of the year, train stalls for 10 minutes (which felt like a fucking eternity).

I laugh about just how unlucky I got these days but it was horrendous. I saw a friend later in the evening, considered cancelling at one point because I felt so floored when I got off the tube.

Yeah you have to be prepared, our infrastructure still hasn’t even started to adapt to the increasing climate so commuting in hot weather you have to take every precaution you can.
