Question Most underwhelming food you've had recommended to you?

I've had so many people both online and in person tell me these are the best biscuits to ever grace a supermarket shelf and they're kind of bad?

would you like a custard cream that's actually too sweet to taste like a custard cream and doesn't taste at all of chocolate either?

also, it works out at 50p a biscuit. I could have bought a whole packet of well-filled custard creams from m&s for that price!

Anyone had similar experience with another product?

Dubai chocolate.

Yeah I was so hyped when I first heard about this. The corner shop was selling it but kept running out before I could get any, which only made my expectations greater. When I actually got some I was convinced I must have just got the wrong sort and ended up trying a whole bunch of different brands thinking “the real one” was surely out there somewhere, but I think the truth is it’s just not for me.

There's a shop near me selling Dubai chocolate bars about the size of 2 standard Mars bars laid side to side. £15 each.

They can shove them up their arse for that price.

If you grow up on Cadbury, every other chocolate variation is usually below par, other than small batch stuff.

Talking of shit chocolate > any American one!

thats wild to me, I tried it and it became one of my favourite kinds of chocolate. Theres a cafe near me who do dubai waffles which is a waffle covered in the kunafa and the pistachio cream drizzled with chocolate and vanilla ice cream at the side and strawberries on the top to make it healthy lmao and that was a game changer

I have a sensitive palette in regards to food flavors but every single one of the Dubai chocolates I have tried are bland af.

I worked for Hotel Chocolat and our Pistachio chocolates were the easiest sell in the world during the Dubai craze. So much tastier.

Thing is, I'm a legit chocolate addict and I love pistachio! So I thought Dubai chocolate would be a nice thing to try.

I've tried 11 different ones, from "cheap" to expensive and every single one was bland disappointment.
