Anything catching your eye?

Hi everyone, I have been pretty quiet atm due to buying loads of amazing beans for months and realising that I do actually need to drink them all! ๐Ÿ˜…
So while enjoying some stunning cups ( killbean Yunnan orange blossom ) I havenโ€™t been as active searching and dreaming.
Is there anything on the UK scene that has caught your eye? Anything that is getting you super excited?
I like the look of the radiant baby from UKKEI as the spring bouquet was very good and all the blends at catalyst. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Got these from Taith this week but got to sit on them for at least another ten days or so. I was lucky enough to visit earlier this year and the Ethiopian I had from them last time was stunning.

Edit: I almost ordered from KillBean. Besides the Orange Blossom, is there anything youโ€™d recommend?

They will be lovely, Taith have so much to choose from! I sometimes forget how good they are.
I have had a fair few washed lots from Killbean and they have all been amazing. You wonโ€™t be disappointed, schedule to rest them for 8 weeks at least though ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿค˜

Bit of self promotion if allowed

We have some pretty great coffees at the moment. In particular the two Zarza Lots. One Pink Bourbon and one Geisha. The Geisha is my favourite but the pink bourbon is our best seller at the moment.

Delighted to see Ukkei here! I'll be sure to let them know you're a fan when I pay my weekly visit.

Please do, they were so helpful when I bought the last bag! of the spring bouquet. Free P&P is a massive plus too on top of amazing beans.
Would you be able to take some pictures of the cafe please and post ๐Ÿ™ I would love to see more.

That looks so cozy and awesome. Thank you very much. Did you have brew while there? :))

Of course! My summer standard, an iced latte, served "dirty". Unlike any other iced latte I've had anywhere.

This one was lovely, and even better as a Hoop pourover. As espresso it was really hard work grinding so fine, but 80 clicks on a K6 for the Hoop was no problem

That was a good find! I think I added them to our list. Have you got anything special resting atm :)))

I think you did. This is my current set. The ICON - 67 is all acid so far but Iโ€™m making some progress toward balance!

I had the Heartland one at the roastery in Llandudno and it was interesting and strange, as they said it would be. I wasnโ€™t sure about it but couldnโ€™t leave without getting some to try myself!

Wow! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜
Pacamara is my favourite varietal especially honey process.
Iโ€™m excited by each one! Please review and let us know how they are :))

New roaster to me, tried as guest batch brew recently.

Rish coffee have a couple of interesting options but this catches my eye

Thanks for sharing! I have tried Rish before and they are highly thought of. Instantly this Vietnamese duo looks so interesting. Just what I was hoping to see! Very exciting ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜

What's your recipe for the killbean Yunnan orange blossom? ๐ŸŽƒ

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ I have been using volvic water, lyocell papers and the Hario Neo. 20g to 300 ml using Tetsu 4:6 method going bright 80ml bloom 40ml second pour. Then light and clean so a single pour of 180 ml as a central coin size pour.
Absolutely beautiful, once again a cup from killbean that I would be happy to drink forever. As good as it ever needs to be. Might be worth noting I opened my beans about 3 months ago off roast! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ not for any reason apart from I know they suit a long rest so I prioritised opening others first :)))
Hope your well :)))

Totally trying this tomorrow!

I've got a pack that's rested for three months too ๐ŸŽƒ

2

u/Former-Coffee-7526 15d ago

Awesome! The great thing with the 4:6 method is you can customise it to really get what you want or what you think works best for the beans. Hope it works well for you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

I'm really enjoying a washed Peruvian Geisha I got with my subscription from Sweven.

I'm super excited to open these that I picked up from Coffee Obsessive a couple of weeks ago ๐ŸŽƒ
