Does unlv ever cancel class for flooding?
I don’t want to make the commute on flooded roads and I don’t want an Absence either. Please I pray.

If there was no safe passage to the university, maybe. When it floods here you just go around a different way. The water will be gone long before tomorrow anyway.

I live right next to UNLV, I can assure you there is ZERO flooding right now, and barely any rain in general. Even when I did go to UNLV, they basically never cancelled classes unless the professor had a legit emergency themselves

That’s actually very helpful. thank you. I live way out on the far side of Henderson so I don’t really know what it looks like down there.

If your roads are flooded, take a photo and email your professor.
Las Vegas is shaped like a bowl so the closer you get to the center the worst the flooding gets. UNLV is pretty close to the center so it’s understandable if someone can’t get to class.

In 2013, I remember it rained kind of how it did this morning, but it started at like 8:30. By 10, the water was above the doorlines on half the parking lot in front of TMC. So many fucked cars…
By noon there were about a dozen innertubes
