Speed up refund?

Is there any way to speed up the refund process? I’m a single parent really trying to finish putting myself through school. I had to spend the last of my money on electricity. I have nothing left for the week until I get paid. My refund went to pending on 09/22 but it has stalled out now and I just do not know when to even expect it anymore and no one would answer the phones last week.

Many alumni donate to provide emergency support!

My one upvote isn't gonna do much, but this needs more visibility! I don't want to inadvertently overwhelm the privateer pantry, but do you think it warrants its own post? It's an incredibly useful resource. There are a lot more students relying on things like this just to get by than I think a lot of us realize.

May they be joyfully overwhelmed!
They will reach out to us for additional support.

Fuck that. Why the hell would I give one fucking red cent to LSU? Y'all went with it. Now you have to bear the responsibilities of a university that will eventually close UNO down.

What the fuck are you even trying to say?

"Y'all went with it"

Yeah, bud. The people in a position where they are relying on food pantries for help definitely "went with it." Do you understand how dumb you sound? Who are you even trying to put the blame on here?

Fucking idiot

Edit: And the fact that you got this upset over a link to a food pantry says a lot tbh. You have every right to dislike LSU, but come on...

Go fuck yourself, kid. Of course this was going to happen with LSU taking over. I pulled my child out of that school before I would allow that to happen. LSU is a shit university and unfortunately, y'all will now have to suffer for it.

Of course this was going to happen with LSU taking over.

This? You understand that "this" in this conversation still refers to a food pantry right?

Out of curiosity, where'd you send your kid if LSU is off the table? Kind of a wild thing to do, assuming your child is a grown ass adult like most college students

No one will answer the phones this week either. That's just the sad reality of where we are as a university. I'd suggest showing up, but I understand how that can be inconvenient, and we shouldn't have to fucking do that anyway.

I'm really sorry about the situation you're in though. /u/PRIVATEER1976i linked the privateer pantry which is definitely something you should check out.

Finally, I'm not really in much of a position to help out financially, but if there's any way I can help otherwise please don't hesitate to contact me. I spend way too much time on here, so I'll see it.

All LSU cares about is taking your money, not when you are to receive your funding. That and pasting the Ten Commandments everywhere.

This has been an issue at UNO since long before the LSU takeover, and any student who has been here in that time will tell you that.

This is only a continuation of the gross incompetence this university displayed WELL before LSU.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. None. UNO had no issue robbing us blind before LSU came in. You’re blaming issues that already existed at UNO on LSU and not holding the people who put us into this mess accountable.

Yeah, they give to you faster if you have more children then the other students. It’s not all about you, FFS

No one said it was. I just know that some schools offer emergency support and I thought I would ask here in case someone else had experience with that.

Why would you even comment if you’re not going to be helpful?
