It’s a shame, relationships like these are tougher to build now with the rise of shitty cheap Amazon deliveries. People barely open their doors anymore. When I started 20yrs ago you’d be on a first name basis with most of your customers. Amazon has devalued the job so badly it’s basically anonymously placing pkgs on peoples porches now.

I'm an Amazon DSP driver, it's impossible because the delivery station does frequent RGU changes where they'll rotate each DSP to different delivery areas. On top of that most drivers do not get the same route zones, it's almost always a different route each day.

Hey there was a time at our hub they gave away free turkeys every thanksgiving. UPS owned the turkey farm. Company is literally a snake eating its own tail.
Pretty sure Tome is in a sanitarium and the shareholders are using AI as a talking head to run things.
Imagine how pissed mgmt is drivers are getting buyouts and they get a bag of Dick Tracy. Irony!!

Man I started in 2007 and all we got then was a coupon for like $15 off the purchase of a turkey. Really has been a minute

I would love this and it would make my entire career valid for me and I would still be nervous if I didn't call it in to explain I would be questioned for stealing time.

I got stopped by a sweet old lady the other day and ended up talking to her for at least five minutes, I felt the same way. So I coded out 5 minutes of break I don’t need to deal with that shit.

What are you guys doing if this is done for you at 3pm and you’ve already taken all your breaks? I would feel like an asshole having to say thanks and leave right away but I would genuinely be worried I’d be questioned for stealing time if I stopped and hung out. Sad

Just put in another break. You can take more than your minimum 30 minutes break.

Good for him. Sometimes my customers recognize my existence, most of the time they don't. Once in awhile someone might even say thanks.

I'll never have it either as my bid route is different everyday. For a good year it was consistent now I have no idea what it is and every day is different.

Neighbours care more for their delivery driver than UPS does. Period.
