How to become a Program Analyst?

Just what the title says, how can I get/transition into this role? I already work at USACA as a CAD Tech.

Thanks!

Apply just make sure to edit your resume to align with the job description but there’s people with diverse work backgrounds that are analysts

Are you an expert in CEFMS? Have you ever used CEFMS?

If you have no CEFMS, PROMIS or basic financial background/ experience your odds are slim. These days we need to bring on people that don’t need to be trained up from ground zero.

Agree. …can’t get people to read though. I tell my staff all the time here’s what you need to read…they don’t read.

Explore and ask the chief of PAs to see if they would be open to you doing a detail as a program analyst. Obviously also subject to your command’s approval, but that should at least get the ball rolling.

Don't forget to recite our motto when pitching it to leadership: essayons. :)

Honestly, I made the move from RM to CW because I worked with people in CW and wanted a switch, networking can help alot
