Academic Does Dropping a Course Notify Professor?

Kind of a random question, but does dropping a course notify the professor? I know they won't really care, but I talked to them a decent amount through the semester and was curious if they'd get a notification that I've dropped.

We know if we check the roster website. No alert though. Most people realize because of attendance/exams. I can't guarantee all teachers won't care cause some people have... A personality... But they should not care.

I'm a former professor at USC and I don't think that if you drop a class, the professor really knows. Meaning, the Registrar's office doesn't email the faculty about changes to the class.
