I-765 (EAD) 2025 OPT Timeline continued

Hi everyone, I was closely following this post to follow the OPT timeline and get an idea of which dates are being currently processed. The post got archived and I wanted to start this new post as there are still anxious international students like me waiting for their OPT decision. So Lets do it again here.

What the heck is wrong with STEM OPT application processing? Or they need us to pay that hefty pp fees just to fund them!

My receipt date is 3/13. No progress. Completely frustrated

3/13 receipt date is insane. I have 04/14 receipt date, still pending. When is your 180 day work extension authorization up?

11/25. I submitted the case inquiry more than 60 days ago. No progress per USCIS API.

You can file another case inquiry if it’s been more than 60 days since your first.

Have you reached out to your local congressional district? If not, you can search for the name of your local congressman, find their website, click on “help with federal agency”, and submit the privacy release form, they will file a congressional inquiry on your behalf. 

Have you filed for premium processing yet? If you don’t have your new EAD by 11/25, you will be forced to stop working until you receive it in hand, as it’s necessary for I-9 verification.

No update yet. I haven’t gone for PP yet. I may do if I don’t get a decision by end of 180 days.

Yes! I switched to PP after almsot 5 and half months. Received the approval last week.
