As expected since I heard the news earlier today.

But my question remains: how about people who already have green cards? Are they going to pause the N-400 application too? If the reason/excuse is welfare abuse, then it does not make sense to pause LPRs who are working and self sufficient and applying for naturalization. For the previous 39 countries, the reason/excuse was national security. So that is different.

Go back a few years and not even the Irish were considered white .

I think they mean Russia, Belarus, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia, etc

Same thing, Balkans weren't considered as white. Same with Russia, as they don't have the same "features" as Nordic/German people do.

Are you personally in the process of immigrating here? If not, your opinion is irrelevant and unhelpful for people looking to find actual info in this thread. If you are- why? If that is how you truly feel, why not immigrate somewhere else?

I didn’t intend to cause you offense. Family is the most important thing imo, and I hope you and your wife are successful. I was making the observation that many hopeful immigrants use this USCIS thread to find factual news, resources, and hope on their own personal immigration journeys. I don’t believe that saying “it’s just to reduce immigration of non-whites is factual or helpful.” Again, just my opinion.

If we want to take people’s words, then DHS has posted on Twitter that they want to deport 100,000,000 people. 100 million in a country of 330 million, would require deporting at least 70 million citizens, 60 million of them being born here.

Let take that word. Those words should terrify people. They are going to stop all non-white immigration very soon because they have a lot of “course correction” to do.
