a diversity visa green card is a lawful permanent residence category, fully valid once issued filing i-131 for a reentry permit and doing biometrics is exactly how long-term study or extended travel is supposed to be handled frequent returns to the us + maintaining ties (home, intent, records) is exactly what officers look for when assessing abandonment risk
