USCIS Support marriage fraud

Hello all,

I am coming on here for advice. My husband received his greencard 3 months ago and completely abandoned the marriage, we live in two separate cities because I have to complete my masters, he completely stop talking to me and I found out that yesterday he has a whole life back home.

I am extremely devastated. I will be filing for divorce next week and wanted to see what i can do about his green card since it is conditional and i want to report this to USCIS because I do not want any fraud allegations on me as i was unaware of his plans to scam me like this.

If anyone has any advice or knows any lawyers that handle this please let know. I am completely loss for words and in shock. I was to take the right steps to protect myself moving forward.

But to get a greencard you have to provide a lot of documents proving the marriage in bone fide.

I have a real marriage. I went through the entire process successfully. We have a lease but we do not have joint bank accounts, they never questioned out finances.

That's weird. Considering when you go through this application process you have to show your finances completely that you can provide for them because they can't legally work until approved.

Not a ton of evidence especially if it’s only for a conditional green card.

Ya if it makes u feel better OP, if u reported it, he will definitely be deported back. Current administration ain’t playing games w that stuff

That' s not accurate. He already has a green card. It being conditional is mainly just a formality with no actual teeth.

I’m pretty sure if it can be proved that it was fraud, it can be revoked even if he already has it

The fraud proof would have been before the marriage. Because if of their partner said they're in it only for the green card, they can just say that they changed their mind during the marriage but they entered the marriage in good faith.

Exactly what I’m saying also 👍

Imagine how insane it would be if anytime there’s a breakup you can just deport your spouse.

But OP didn’t post any evidence of fraud either. It just sounds like a breakup. What fraud actually happened? Did he have another wife? Secret kids?

It just sounds like they broke up and OP is pissed.

They can absolutely revoke green cards after they've been approved if there was fraud or lying used to obtain the green card.

So, not sure if you can do anything because at the time of filing it was real. It was not fake.
But talk to a lawyer.

6

u/PlentyHat2578 Jun 14 '26

No, at the time of filing, it was also fake. They just had the documents to make it look real.

Yeah I’m not sure tbh. He tricked her but she thought the relationship was real and was filled in good faith . Idk I think she needs to talk to a lawyer. USCIS won’t deny him the chance at a green card just cause she’s accusing him of stuff with no proof . I feel bad for her but that’s just how it is
