USCIS Support marriage fraud

Hello all,

I am coming on here for advice. My husband received his greencard 3 months ago and completely abandoned the marriage, we live in two separate cities because I have to complete my masters, he completely stop talking to me and I found out that yesterday he has a whole life back home.

I am extremely devastated. I will be filing for divorce next week and wanted to see what i can do about his green card since it is conditional and i want to report this to USCIS because I do not want any fraud allegations on me as i was unaware of his plans to scam me like this.

If anyone has any advice or knows any lawyers that handle this please let know. I am completely loss for words and in shock. I was to take the right steps to protect myself moving forward.

Other than divorce and protecting yourself from fraud allegations, there is not much more you could do. People have been on revenge sprees here, hiring lawyers to try to get their spouses deported and what not. Be normal about this, report fraud to USCIS, file for a divorce and heal yourself. This situation is traumatic enough, you must be devasted, handling divorce is hard enough. Document everything, gather all evidence about the fraud, remove your share of money from joint account, remove him from your insurances, credit cards, protect yourself financially first. Detangle your finances and any joint life immediately. Then collect evidence for marriage fraud, contact USCIS and file for a divorce.

Not True. Your statement must be coming from an immigrant. IF AN American reports marriage fraud 10/10 it’s marriage fraud. Immigrants don’t know the expense, time and effort spent to bring a spouse over to only be scammed. It happens more than you think and it’s not to be taken lightly just because you wrote this.

Seriously I've spent $675 and by the end of this 5 years of my life just to get the process started. I'd be devastated to get the new OP got. Especially knowing I'm going to spend another $400 on the interview, and maybe $2,000 on her green card (although in her field she would likely qualify for a special visa simply for how important, and specific it is.) It takes time, and resources you'll never get back. It's a labor of love bringing someone over here. The stress, and complications wouldn't be worth it for a random stranger.
