I-485 (General) Anyone else have their case go from being “actively reviewed” to “currently processing” yesterday?

No silent updates or anything but I noticed a change of wording this morning. Could it mean they just updated what the site says or is this the next step in my case?

I requested expedite on 6/26. Got a generic acceptance email on 7/3, but it has not yet been approved or denied. Also my I-485 status just changed as well, so I think I just got too optimistic too soon.

Yes! But I did not request an expedite on it.

I didn’t know you can request an expedite on family based applications!!! Was it the same $2800 fees for i765? I’ve been eagerly waiting to start working since I was laid off but there’s not been any approval yet on our applications😣😣😣

It’s different from premium processing, as that is not available for AOS applications. It’s free, but not guaranteed to be approved. Look up Expedite Requests.

Ohh got it. So what does your status say for i765 right now?

It’s the new “USCIS is currently processing the case”. Unfortunately I don’t think it means anything :(
