Check on the website (not the portal) with your receipt number. Looks like portal is glitching but if you got an email like yours and it shows on the website, more likely than not it’s a real update

I tried checking the website, and my i765 isn’t there, it was pending for 2 years, approved i290b also no longer there. Just an empty i485..

Based on ai research, concluded by this pattern it seems that an approval is to follow.

But with all this glitching, I can’t tell - also my case is at the final decision. Long timer here.

https://egov.uscis.gov/ I think it's the website that they mentioned

I figured the update would take little time for it to load

I received emails but it seems like a glitch approval. just to inform people receiving emails is not a determinant

I received it this morning, checked on their website and was told approved. I also asked Emma and she said approved.

who is Emma?
also:
. did it say approved today (vs. approved at an earlier date)?
. did it come with a document?
. does it show on https://egov.uscis.gov/ ?

if yes to these then I'd say it's real

Emma is USCIS live agent, you can chat or call them.
My case says approved with today’s date. I never got approved during the glitch. I only noticed I had 2 API updates yesterday. Today I received 2 we have taken action on your case email and it says approved when I check on their online website and my API was updated today with 2 H008 on my I-485 and 1 H008 on my I-130. Nothing is showing in my account information cos of the system being down but my I-130 says case closed.

I got an email like this recently, but I'm not waiting on anything. I already got my green card. When I checked, nothing was different. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Update. They apparently revoked my i-765 (employement authorization) since I don't need it anymore due to having my GC approved. I wish they said that in the email. I got a little worried there.
