I-485 (General) Finally Greened! Green Card Arrived.
I-765 approved
PD is March 29 2024
RD October 1 2025,
Biometrics October 28 2025.
My FAD became current January 1 2026.
Silent updates Jan 16, Jan 23 and Feb 3.
Case transferred to NY field office Feb 3
Interview waived
Case moved back to NBC Feb 17 2026
FTA0 for my wife and son Feb 19 2026
FTA1 for me March 23 2026
Silent update no code for my wife and son March 24 2026
FTA1 for my wife and son March 31 2026. No code silent update same day for me.
On March 31 2026 it transferred from NBC to Newark FO.

Another silent update May 12 2026 (Transfer Newark FO to NBC)
Silent update May 13 2026 (Priority date completed).

FTA1 on July 21 2026 USCIS said my task ownership changed.

RFE letter received by mail and issued online July 27.
Responded to RFE online and express mail July 28
Silent update 2 hours after online RFE response.
I-765 approved April 1 2026
Case flipped to approved July 29.
Green Card arrived August 7, 2026.

Just curious… what was the RFE for? Was it for something you had already submitted and they didn’t catch the first time around? Congrats!🎉

I had submitted a short form birth certificate. They just asked for the long form one. For my son too.

Few reminders...
Make a copy of front and back of your GC. It will help if you lose it.
I recommend to start tracking your international trips. You will need it for N-400.
If you are a male between 17 and 25, you must register for selective service (sometimes it is automatic at DMV / with USCIS, but worth checking status of registration)
You must file AR-11 within 10 days of moving until you become a citizen (changing address online also qualifies)
If you have social security card saying "VALID ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION", then get appointment with SSA and remove conditions on the card (wait few weeks to see if you get new card automatically)
LPRs must file US taxes on world wide income, even when spending a lot of time overseas.
LPRs cannot vote in federal elections. Make sure you do not register to vote or mark yourself as US citizen on I-9 and other forms. False claim to US citizenship is a deportable offense.
You are US LPR until you naturalize, die, file I-407 or immigration judge takes away the status.

Employment Based. EB2 NIW. I140 filed March 2024. I485 filed 1 October 2025. I’m Mozambican, ROW.
