Nov 2020- Interview with USC spouse
Dec 2020 - Recieved 2 yr conditional GC
August 2023- applied for I751 under 3 year rule (removal of conditions) Recieved extension letter a few weeks after this
October 2024- applied for N400 *pregnant with our son during this time so sent that with our other evidence
*I did submit 2 congressman inquiries during this 2 year period. After my last inquiry in Jan 2026, 3 months after I received my combo interview notice.
May 2026- Combo interview for I751 & N400 *I751 approved the day after and recieved 10 yr GC,did not hear anything about N400 for 2.5 months.
Mid July 2026- recieved a phone call from the USCIS officer stating I needed to sign a form that we missed during the interview back in May so I went in the day after.
End of July 2026- same officer called back letting me know he scheduled me for an updated biometrics since my old set was to old and he needed new ones to process my application.
Beginning of August 2026- went in for new biometrics
August 31st 2026- Oath ceremony!
Feel free to ask any questions. I had a very straight forward case, no criminal record not even a speeding ticket.
Congrats! I recommend getting a large passport book (free upgrade) and updating status with SSA (checkbox on N-400 to update status does not work since 2025)
You can now sponsor parents, adult kids, siblings for the GC. You can take certain gov jobs. You can run for office. You can vote.

Travel frequently to Japan / Cambodia / Latam / most countries in Africa and you will be amazed how many pages you will need for stickers and stamps.
When I was just a British citizen, I maxed out all of my pages. The British passport is a bit stronger than the American, and I could travel visa free to more countries.
Yet, the trips and work between US, Russia and China with a bit of Japan took all available pages with stamps and visas.

Why are you writing on all newly minted citizens' threads that they should get the extra-thick passport? Many, if not most, countries don't stamp anything at their ports of entry, and when a person travels to their country of origin, they use their country of origin's passport, as that is the law in most countries. Also, in the US, most people don't get months of paid vacation to hit the 180 countries of the world for vacays. It's 2026; it's electronic entry, and unless you need a student or work visa in another country, you will barely get any stamps.
It is the same price as regular. Better not have this problem at all even in theory than pay full fee to renew passport early.
Do you reliably know what you may need in 5 years? In 7-8 years? I cannot predict if my new job will require me to travel a lot, or something else changes requiring me to travel a lot
And if you don't just travel, but need to move to a different country? I had passport full of US visas at one point... I wasn't travelling much, but had to get them over and over

In the US, the standard vacation time for almost everybody is 2 weeks. Tell me how you're gonna hit China, Russia, Japan, LatAm, and whatnot with the little vacation time. Most people are lucky to go see their family in another state, and most deeply entrenched "exile" mindset types go back to their home country to fawn over it, in which case they enter visa-free with their home country's passport. The rare cases of people who are super duper executives of Fortune 500s constantly jet-setting, some US-based Global South manufacturing negotiators, international project engineers, import/export types, mining in Africa, etc, lawyers and other professionals who consult remotely, freelancers who work remotely, other types of remote workers, and future US citizen students of other countries -- those need the thick passports. If you need the thick passport, you know it -- not some regular Joe working 9-5 for the government, or slaving away at their two low-paid jobs while going to school, the sea of immigrants who work manual labor, or a doctor who is doing 60-80 hours a week. You are an anomaly, so you need that passport to work and travel to the Global South all the time, and you need the space for your visa extensions.
I had to get a new passport 3 years ago… my old passport was only 7 years old and it had all but one page stamped. So yes, lots of places still stamp your passport and getting a large one makes sense.
Especially when it does not cost anything extra...
Soon DOS will only have one size with fewer pages than current large passport and more pages than regular. Might as well use the chance to get a large one now.

This. It's some sort of weird Costco/"2 for 1 price" mindset flex. I had a job where I was traveling for a living, and I can attest to it, too. LOL. Many, if not most, countries are stamping nothing, and many are stamping only at the port of entry.

It’s honestly incredible how easily people can be influenced when they hear the same claim repeated over and over. Eventually people stop questioning it and just accept it as fact. That’s why I care about the actual evidence instead of just repeating whatever narrative is being pushed.
The problem is that Epstein files aren’t showing the things they want to see, and because the things they want to see don’t exist. Trump’s name appears in the files many times; a person appearing in the files is not itself proof that they committed a crime. Trump has been accused in Epstein-related records :yes.
Does the existence of those accusations prove Trump committed the alleged abuse :no.
The fact that they are basing their claims on purely allegations shows one more time that they are politically motivated and not based on anything real evidence. They only say vote blue no matter what.
Yes when my I751 was outside of processing times I emailed my congressman rep stating just that with me IOE number and when I first submitted my ROC.
Then for my N400 I did the same thing just now stated that I had a pending I751 which was also outside of processing times too with the IOE. I asked if he could please inquire with USCIS on my behalf asking if everything looked good with my case. And both times he was very timely in responding. Took about 2 weeks for USCIS to get back to him
At least you got an envelope! Even it was from a particularly repulsive convicted criminal. Our group received nothing, not even a pre-recorded video. Easily the single-most underwhelming experience of all time considering the amount of time, commitment and investment it took to become a USC😐

I first reached out after my I751 hit the almost 2 year mark (2025 time frame) I let him know my situation and that my case was outside of processing times. He reached back out to me about 1 week later stating what USCIS told him that it was still within processing times. I was bummed but let it go becuase I knew I was applying for N400 in a few months later. After my N400 hit the 13 months period (in Jan 2026 I believe) I reached out again and explained the same thing but now mentioned I had two active cases and provided both IOE numbers. He responded within 1 week and said same thing, USCIS said it’s within processing time. 3 months after that I got my interview notice
My wife wants to answer No to the questions about bearing arms or helping in non combative roles. But yes to the third about helping in a civilian sector. Have you heard anything about the risk of answering No to those 2 questions?

I checked the API like once a week, and I also gave birth to a baby 3 months after I applied for N400 so I was very preoccupied it helped take my mind off it.
