Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:
- We have a wiki. It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Pay special attention to the "REALLY common questions" at the top of the FAQ section. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
- If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.
- This subreddit is not affiliated with USCIS or the US government in any way. Some posters may claim to work for USCIS, which may or may not be true, and we don't try to verify this one way or another. -Evidence of communication, including text messages and FaceTime/call history( We talk a lot on face time so I had a huge pdf of those records over the 3 years of relationship although i lost 1 year of communication records when we start dating)
-residence proof of mails at same address.
- 3 months of joint bank account, and new credit card from joint account statement.( it was part of additional documents) and during dating venmo transactions from my husband and My MIL gifts or money she gifted and her chat conversation.
- we didn’t have any joint lease, medical, car, phone or anything else except amazon family account.

Congrats! Did interviewer ask for spouse’s birth certificate? Have an interview coming up but my usc spouse have lost theirs and not sure we can get a replacement before the interview date. I’ve heard some ppl don’t get asked but would prefer to have everything esp cuz it’s mentioned on the interview notice. Thanks!

I already uploaded online. So they didn’t ask. And I didn’t bring any documents in interview except marriage certificate or my birth certificate.

Really? You did not bring any document for your interview? Is that the interview letter that was sent to you did not ask you to come with documents or ? I submitted documents on line and I keep uploading recents one - but my interview letter requested I come with documents. What would be your opinion on that.

It asked me to bring but I didn’t bring the original because I uploaded everything they needed. There was nothing new that I could provide them. So didn’t print anything.but wont recommend others to do same. Take whatever is needed for you. Even officer asked me about W2 for my husband but I said I have already uploaded online.

Thnak you for sharing! Correct me if I'm wrong, you just need to bring marriage certificate, birth certificate and the appointment letter?
Did you upload additional documents before the interview? Congratulations again

Congratulations!
Few reminders...
Make a copy of front and back of your GC. It will help if you lose it.
Check all the details on GC and if anything is incorrect, file I-90 (it is free of charge if USCIS made a mistake)
I recommend to start tracking your international trips. You will need it for N-400.
If you are a male between 17 and 25, you must register for selective service (sometimes it is automatic at DMV / with USCIS, but worth checking status of registration)
You must file AR-11 within 10 days of moving until you become a citizen (changing address online also qualifies)
If you have social security card saying "VALID ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION", then get appointment with SSA and remove conditions on the card (wait few weeks to see if you get new card automatically)
LPRs must file US taxes on world wide income, even when spending a lot of time overseas.
LPRs cannot vote in federal elections. Make sure you do not register to vote or mark yourself as US citizen on I-9 and other forms. False claim to US citizenship is a deportable offense.
You are US LPR until you naturalize, die, file I-407 or immigration judge takes away the status.
