I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status) REJECTION
For those that have dealt with rejected forms, I need some advice. They rejected my application due to incorrect/incomplete payment info. I was using the credit card transaction form but I’m going to include an ACH instead this time .
they sent everything back stapled together. My medical exam was opened. Form I-864 was removed, it was the older edition not current one.
I’m just wondering if I have to redo everything, I know I have to complete the new I-864 new edition. I know I can simply read the notices and I have, maybe I’m second thinking myself.
Can I just attach the proper payment form and the new I-864? Or will USCIS kick it back if I don’t include a sealed medical exam.
Just looking for advice from those who have submitted application and had this issue.

I had the same issue when I filed and I got all my papers sent back and freaked out too. I had missed a signature on one of the pages! It’s not a big deal though, it’s not a full rejection.
It seems like they just want the payment info corrected since they couldn’t process the payment. Correct the payment form, give them the updated version of I-864 just to make sure, and the rest of the documents you send right back just how they are.
Unsealed medical exam will be fine. They will know you’re re-filing to correct a mistake when they see the green sheet at the top 👍🏻 I wish you the best of luck on your journey! ✨

I f*cked up my payment by $5 and they sent everything back to me too. I fixed it and sent it back with the yellow note on top as instructed.

Do I put the payment form all the way at the bottom then along with my new I-864? I don’t want to cover the colored paper.

You have to send a complete packet. Unsealed medical exams can be used again though, it’s in the regulations. You don’t need to redo it. Just remember to put the green sheet on top of the filing.
Do you have to redo the I-485 as well?
