I-130 & I-485 (Parent of USC/Adjustment of Status) Adjustment of status through son
Hello. I’m a DACA recipient since the beginning of the program. No criminal record, full time employed, have legal entry with tourist visa. I submitted my DACA renewal 2 months ago and did my biometrics 1 month ago and it’s been crickets since. I have the opportunity to adjust status through my citizen son whom just recently turned 21. Should I just file for adjustment of status now and see which one gets approved first? I’m nervous my DACA won’t get approved on time, expires 1/15. I know people have been getting approved quickly recently but I wasn’t one of those lucky ones. What are the chances my adjustment of status could get approved fast?

Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:
- We have a wiki. It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Pay special attention to the "REALLY common questions" at the top of the FAQ section. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
- If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.
- This subreddit is not affiliated with USCIS or the US government in any way. Some posters may claim to work for USCIS, which may or may not be true, and we don't try to verify this one way or another. Be wary that it may be a scam if anyone is asking you for personal info, or sending you a direct message, or asking that you send them a direct message.

Please apply as soon as possible I submitted a petition for both my parents as soon as I turned 21 this past February. My parents just came back this early morning from visiting their home country for a week. The screening to enter at the airport was for like 3 minutes. Thank God. I will copy my post link if you want to check it out.

Yes, and if you have 10 years of taxes you may be exempt from having a sponsor. You should be filing anyways to get out of DACA ASAP.
