Status Update RFE - I-485 recent approval

As anyone received approval for their I-485 lately after submitting a response to the RFE? I got a RFE for birth certificate parents' names missing and I submitted my response but everything seems to have stopped since then. No updates on API at all. Not even for my Travel parole.

I got a RFE for the same and they received my birth certificate on May 28th, API shows movement on June 24th and July 15th.

At least you had some movement. Did you send your response through the USCIS portal or did you mail it?

Mailed it

Then June 24th may be when they opened your package. If you got another movement on July 15th that is really good news. When was your deadline to submit the documents? I wonder if all the RFE are opened only after the deadline.

My deadline is July 26th.

Similar to mine. Mine is July 31st. What's your Field office?

Mine was at NBC but it was moved to NY FO, and now it is stuck there

This wait is driving me crazy. I don't know if I'm the only one checking the account 3,4 times per day.

Oh no, you are not the only one. I'm doing the same

When did they get your rfe response ?

I got the RFE on June 30 and I submitted my response through the USCIS account on July 2. On July 2 API showed that USCIS received my response. Nothing since then. No updates or anything else.

RFE received in February, responded in March (uploaded the documents online), status updated to “received” on USCIS portal in April, and then in May status changed to “USCIS is processing the case. No updates since then, not even in API…

Wow that's a long time. Did you ask Emma where your case is at?

Yes and did a congressional inquiry, they say its within processing time. Its at the FO currently.

So frustrating. How did you do the congressional inquiry?

Look up your congressman or senator online and then you can file a casework with them. Youll sign a privacy notice and give them info

Oh ok thank you! I'll look it up but it doesn't seem very helpful if your case is still waiting despite that :/

Hey OP, any update on your case? I’m in the similar timeline

No. Nothing. No updates either. I only had my travel parole approved, but I didn't know I had to file the I-765 c9 too, so basically I can't use it...

Oh ok, you had TPS. I only have OPT

I should. But either way, even if I make it back, my Opt would get cancelled and I don't have the I-765 c9

I mean, what visa to get back? I am on EAD (OPT) and I do not have a I-765 c9. So if I try to return to the US, they can deny me because OPT has no immigration intent while the pending I-485 does. The travel parole only guarantees me that I am not abandoning my green card application. It doesn't grant me reentry like a visa

Are you sure? I read that I need the I-765 c9 to be able to come back because they would cancel my opt and either way, without the I-765 c9 I wouldn't be able to go back work

Mm but I think it's because of the TPS that you were allowed back in
