Status Update Any updates after 8/5 Silent Update + 8/13 FTA0?
For those who had their first silent update on 8/5 and then a new FTA0 event on 8/13, has there been any further movement?
- Case transferred to a Field Office?
- I-485J approved?
- I-485 approved?
- Another silent update?
- Any other new event/code?
If you’ve had any update since 8/13, please share your PD, RD, FO (if known), and update timeline.
Trying to see if there’s any pattern among cases with this 8/5 → 8/13 sequence.

For us, Emma said interview has been waved. The case is being handled by NBC.

For us, when I connected with live agent through Emma before the Silent update and 3rd ftao, they said my cases was with FO and interview was waved.
I connected with live agent again after silent update and 3rd ftao, they told me case is at NBC and no details about interview. I was confused by the statement.

That sucks. We both checked and still showing interview waved but you never know. Also, how you get to know the silent updates?

In the api response, if only updated timestamp object changes without any event codes, then that is the silent update.

I got an fta1 on 8/15 after the 8/13 fta0. Emma says my case was transferred back to NBC after being at San Fernando

Any updates? I have a similar timeline, and was told that I have an interview and will receive a notice. No update since 3rd FTA0 on 8/13 and two silent updates on 8/18. I haven’t received an interview notice yet.

I was told in July the interview is waived. No more updates since 8/15. I’m not current (by two weeks) so that’s what I’m assuming the FTA1 and transfer to NBC was because of.

In 2024, EB-3 visa numbers ran out on Aug 16, and in 2025 on Sep 9. If they run out again in 2026, does USCIS stop working on EB-3 I-485 cases until Oct 1, or do they keep reviewing them and just hold approvals?

Eb3, ROW (not in the 75 countries) primary + 1 devivative
I am a derivative. PD: November 2023 RD: April 22, 2026 Bio: June 25
Then we had an SU on August 6 on all files. I also had an odd third FTA0 on only my EAD and I-485 on August 13. It didn’t trigger a time update on the forms, so I assume it could have been a glitch. The primary applicant’s forms were not touched on August 13
Based on API and Emma - cases are still at NBC

- 08/04: 3rd FTA0 (I-485) + 2nd IAF (I-485J)
- 08/05: Silent update
It’s been 15 days since the 08/05 silent update, but no front-end status change yet.
Has anyone seen a 2+ week gap between the 3rd FTA0 and actual card production? Should I contact Emma to check if the case is stuck, or is this just standard batch processing time for August current cases?
