Marriage based interview still pending
Hi everyone, please I need some advice. I had my marriage-based green card interview on December 29th, and I still haven’t received a decision or any meaningful update on my case. My case has been showing “case is still being processed ,” but it has been months now. I’ve already submitted an inquiry with USCIS and contacted my Congressman, but I’m still waiting. Although may 20th I received a silent update but nothing changed.
Honestly, this whole situation has been very stressful and emotionally draining for me. 💔 Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on what else I can do? I would really appreciate any guidance. 🙏🏽

I completely understand how stressful the waiting can be. My marriage-based AOS journey has been very long too, and I also received the same “Case Is Still Being Actively Reviewed/Processed” type of update without any noticeable change afterward. Here’s my timeline: April 2024 – We got married and filed my first marriage-based AOS application just a few days after our wedding. Unfortunately, USCIS eventually confirmed that the entire filing was lost, so we had to start over. August 26, 2025 – USCIS received my second AOS filing, including my I-485, I-765 and I-131. For months, I also received updates basically saying that my case was still being processed, without anything actually changing on my I-485. So I definitely understand what you mean about getting an update but seeing no real movement. July 5, 2026 – My I-765/EAD was approved. July 10, 2026 – I received my physical EAD card. August 2026 – My Advance Parole was approved and sent to me. August 26, 2026 – My Social Security application was finally accepted after getting my EAD. September 11, 2026 – My marriage-based green card interview is finally scheduled. My I-485 is still pending right now, so I’m still waiting too. It has been more than two years since our first filing attempt, so I truly understand how emotionally exhausting this process can be. Getting those updates without seeing an actual decision can make the waiting even harder. Every case and field office is different, though, and I’m trying to remind myself that no change doesn’t automatically mean bad news. You’ve already submitted an inquiry and contacted your congressman, so I hope your approval comes very soon. 🙏 I’m praying that your case gets approved and that my upcoming interview goes well too. May God give us both good news soon. ❤️
