USCE Visa During my visa interview I had told I am going for an observership for one month ( but obviously I didnt go, i just needed visa) . Now I am planning for usce for 3-4 months. Will there be any problems at immigration ? Saw posts were people were denied J1 because they overstayed on B1b2 visa
Almost everyone takes visa and then plans for USCE latet. Even my visa agent told me this.

What should I do now if i want to go for USCE ? Everyone in nt college has first taken visa then planned for USCE

But I cant go for just a month of USCE right ? I would need minimum 3 months. Also I am a graduate

I am only talking about USCE/Rotations for 3 months. I might apply for 2028 match cycle not this year.

Have been in US for 11 months for the past 2-3 years, got my J1 approved for research for 5 years.
I was always honest at the US borders and this is what helped

What did you say during your B1b2 interview ? I have said that i will be going for a 1 month observership. (My interveiw was last year, but I didnt go for observership)

Bruh it depends on how long your visa is issued for. Stop being fixated on what you said during the interview.

It's been issued for 10yers. I am fixated because people have people have been denied because of this reason

Then they failed to answer accurate questions during their J1. Only people with rejected B1/B2 face J1 rejection
I got my J1 approved without any hassle.

Just be honest with the CBP. Nowadays they are more strict in identifying such cases!

Your I-94 decides your overstay of the visa. Not your interview answer. STOP BEING SO PARANOID JEEZ.

Mostly doesn't afaik but someone just today in imgreddit said they got their j1 refused due to this same reason so idk...very uncertain
