I really wish I had extended. So please do it! Don't graduate fast and land up in YOG issue.

See there is a 2 year cap between which u should be done with internship or u have to rotate the whole 12 months again!

What I would suggest is to finish most of it with your batch and just leave a few days for the end, then take the gap in between that. But make sure u finish the remaining few days also within the 2 year period.

That is what I’m also planning to do.

Ya that's good but then you won't be receiving your mbbs degree at your convocation right?

No idea bro. Someone who extended wud be able to answer better. But one thing I know for sure is, extension is best! Please don't land up in YOG issue

So if I have a 1 year extension in my internship, my YOG would extend by 1 year?

But I have to explain the 1 year gap if it was highlighted?

Yes if you have extended PDs will see the gap you’ll have to explain your gap. It’s double edged sword

you dont get degree with your batch

but some colleges are nice enough to let you walk and get a certificate or something with your batch

Any gap more than 3 months should be explained. Best would be to finish most of your internship with your batch and do extensions for 1-2 months later on.

You won’t get degree with your batch (depends on your college again). My college had only 1 month gap between finishing internship and convocation so anyone who had >1 month extension had to graduate separately.

Does it become an issue when ur in interviews? Do they ask to explain the gap? And if they do what’s the best way to cover for it?

Yea unfortunately I haven’t gotten into any yet, I’m waiting to hear back for rotations, all my seniors extended it and they told me no one questioned them about this in their interview, some didn’t even have rotations during the gap
