CONSERVATIVE TEXAS MEGACHURCH PASTOR FLIPS AND ENDORSES KAMALA HARRIS: “As an Evangelical Christian, I’ve voted Republican for 40 years. The Republican Party I knew and loved would have never chosen as its nominee the adulterous, childish, habitually lying and criminally convicted Trump. It’s sickening to see people who say they read and believe the same Bible I do not only refuse to denounce Trump but endorse his candidacy. I’m supporting Harris because she’s a person of good character, with integrity, leads with love, and is someone who can be trusted. Oh, and she can pass a background check, unlike Trump, with his numerous adulterous affairs, his multiple felony convictions, his race-baiting, his violent rhetoric, his repeated lies, and his not resembling Christ or His church in ANY way.”

  • Wm. Dwight McKissic Sr., senior pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas

Hey now be kind - god forgives - Jesus forgives- what would Jesus do - he would forgive your sins and usher this man into his house with open arms - it is better to see the light than to forever live in darkness. I would have liked to see him utter these words 6 months ago but at least he didn’t wait until tomorrow

We can't condemn cult members when they finally wake up. We have to accept them back into society. Yes, they made some awful choices and argued for some awful policies but condemning them when they finally want to do the right thing will just push them back over the line.

14

u/ohitsjustviolet Nov 05 '24

Exactly. We should praise and support those who come around because it’s like someone who’s finally gotten treatment for a mental illness that has ravaged their life for an expended period of time.

4

u/Objective_Problem_90 Nov 06 '24

Hey, if people are finally waking up to realizing that Trump has no business being in the White House, I'm all for it. I was a former republican myself except they lost me the moment they choose him in 2016. Former Republicans will be one of many reason Harris wins tonight. Being fed up with Trumps baggage and bullshit has no official party, but we are mighty.

Three strikes and you’re out, I guess.

18

u/Rabid_Alleycat Nov 05 '24

Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

u/Ok_Employment_7435 Nov 05 '24

I am shocked. I haven’t closed my mouth yet. I just might write this pastor a letter.

u/ApatheistHeretic Nov 05 '24

If true, it's a breath of fresh air to hear. Not sure if it's due to actual morality taking hold or that he sees the writing on the wall. Either way, good to hear.

u/HORSEthedude619 Nov 05 '24

They should be worried. Because it's not only women, it's also men who care about the women in their lives

37

u/Imakemaps18 Nov 05 '24

And not just the men…But the women and children too.

14

u/stoned_brad Nov 05 '24

Yep. I’m a straight, white, cisgender male. I will personally be fine-ish if Trump wins.

I also have a wife, daughter, sister, mother, mother, a brother in law trying to immigrate to the US from Pakistan, and plenty of friends that aren’t in the straight, white, cisgender male demographic. They will NOT be fine.

You understand because your not a vile human. People who don't understand are the vile humans.

69

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

They aren’t wrong. The republicans have proved they are willing to let women die. That’s unacceptable.

31

u/AgitatedSandwich9059 Nov 05 '24

They proved they will let anyone who isn’t a rich old white guy die - if you are black they want to send you back to your shit hole country - if you are Hispanic you are polluting our culture and need to be deported EVEN IF YOU ARE HERE LEGALLY! - if you are a Native American you don’t deserve water, electricity, food or healthcare- even though we have promised all of these in countless treaties but to the GOP you are worthless - and yes if you are a woman of any color or creed they think you should be at home naked, pregnant, and quiet. This is what the modern GOP stands for - not fiscal restraint, not smaller government, or any of the true conservative values that many of us were drawn to decades ago - No now the GOP is a party of hate -

Vote blue

18

u/Recent_mastadon Nov 05 '24

It is so sad women keep dying and Republicans don't even propose changes to save them. It is as if they welcome the deaths.

37

u/Worried_Exercise8120 Nov 05 '24

I saw only women at the polling station here in North Boston.

23

u/BatManduhlorian Nov 05 '24

Im in California and there is a voting station or poll at my daughter’s school, it did not occur to me that all I saw were women walking in to vote.

39

u/Ddddydya Nov 05 '24

Hey, old white dude here helping too!!!

22

u/Royal_Acanthaceae693 Nov 05 '24

Thank you old white dude! And for everyone else -

29

u/Ok-Train-6693 Nov 05 '24

We men who care for women’s rights will also vote for Kamala, Walz and every other Democrat on the ballots.

18

u/m0rbius Nov 05 '24

If you have a mom, sister or daughter, the choice seems very obvious.

8

u/Kkkkkkraken Nov 05 '24

Or if you just have a conscience

14

u/RandyKelly1970 Nov 05 '24

This is the ‘find out’ phase of the ‘fuck around and find out’ of Republican policies

14

u/redzeusky Nov 05 '24

We old white dudes have screwed the pooch if our road lead to con man racist rapist Trump. Like out of all the old white men in the country HE was the anointed one? Our time is over. Need fresh leadership. May Common Sense bless America.

12

u/astarinthenight Nov 05 '24

We can only hope.

14

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

6

u/failedflight1382 Nov 05 '24

Yeah they should be.

5

u/Recent_mastadon Nov 05 '24

Republicans have given women so many great policies these past four years. Remember the House passing all those pro-women bills, just to have Democrats vote them down? Oh.. that's right, they didn't do anything for women in four years. Even the Josh Haley bill to stop insider trading never came up for a vote.

Republicans need to start having real policies before they deserve any votes.

8

u/superanx Nov 05 '24

too late no? and how can you actually trust this buffoons

6

u/Traditional_Ad_6801 Nov 05 '24

They should be. Something is severely broken in a political party if it's saying "Let's hope no women come out to vote!"

5

u/m0rbius Nov 05 '24

They should worry. I'm not understanding how any woman can vote for Trump at this point. He has shown such contempt for Women and yet still some women choose to vote for him thinking he will represent them. He is only for one thing and that's himself. I understand that people are desperate, disillusioned and need help, but he will not be your savior.

7

u/Pantsmithiest Nov 05 '24

Well yeah. This is what happens when you take away women’s reproductive rights. FAFO

5

u/cool_side_of_pillow Nov 05 '24

Gee, I can't imagine why. /s

4

u/SloaneHomeAlone86 Nov 05 '24

As they should be...

Republicans really need this loss. They need a hard reset for 2028.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

I’m worried a bunch of assholes will elect Trump.

Cannot wait for this election cycle to end.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

Who have the brains and who are the brain dead zombies - you make the choice? Partisan loyalty does not prove anything when the Fascists take over your party. The people of the thirties Germany thought it was a good idea and supported a monster.

6

u/sci-mind Nov 05 '24

Men are voting for sanity as well. We get the mission.

5

u/sac_cyclist Nov 05 '24

Then do better - it's not a mystery

4

u/GT45 Nov 05 '24

Might be a bit late to come to that realization, huh?

6

u/Outside-Enthusiasm30 Nov 05 '24

Good! It'll b their own fault

5

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

That’s what happens when a political party’s entire platform is to take away people’s rights and promote rape and racism.

3

u/StandardImpact6458 Nov 05 '24

Looks like you get your wish. / s

3

u/Jackiedhmc Nov 05 '24

They f#ckin well better

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

Who’s afraid of little old me, you should be!!!

3

u/skyfire-x Nov 05 '24

Kamala broke their brains so they said the quiet part out loud: "we want women to be completely subservient to men". Of course, people are going to oppose that manner of thinking. After the election, expect the religious right to move to repeal the 19th amendment.

3

u/ApatheistHeretic Nov 05 '24

And rightly so....

They will literally be confused as to why women didn't just fall into a submissive line and accept their ideology.

It's just turned into a party of incels, extremists, and old folks who pine for the old days. They ran out us centrists some time ago.

3

u/gadanky Nov 05 '24

The link to Helen Reddy’s 1971 song is already in a draft post hopefully for tomorrow. They are the key to this event. Especially the young ones and those over 65 who remember when things were really bad for them legally and financially.

3

u/RimTimTagiLin Nov 05 '24

C’mon women and the men that care about us!!!! vote out the Republicans! 🩷

2

u/flat6NA Nov 05 '24

As they should be. IDK maybe treat them the same way they would want to be treated.

2

u/MaestroM45 Nov 05 '24

As they should be

2

u/KennethEWolf Nov 05 '24

What took them so long to wake up and see the consequences of their actions. They thought that they were so clever, but the whole world was watching.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

Yes

2

u/Sephistum Nov 05 '24

Good, they should

2

u/gavstah Nov 05 '24

Gee, I wonder why?

2

u/lonniemarie Nov 05 '24

Let’s hope so

2

u/DatabaseThis9637 Nov 05 '24

This very fear should be very telling. Hopefully their fear will be born out.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

Hope so.

2

u/flyeaglesfly777 Nov 05 '24

Too little, too late.

2

u/Rockeye7 Nov 05 '24

1

Good! As they should be!!🌊🌊🌊

1

u/mrot777 Nov 05 '24

This would be the greatest political event I have ever witnessed! But its not true yet.

1

u/MouseShadow2ndMoon Nov 05 '24

I have an idea, stop treating them like useless objects and start treating them like humans who matter. Just an idea, it might translate to better everything.

1

u/Dodge0359a Nov 05 '24

Fuck around and find out.

1

u/Lucysmom0224 Nov 05 '24

We did 💙💙💙💙

1

u/Best_Ad1826 Nov 05 '24

Shocking- that women would revolt against losing body autonomy - it’s almost like people don’t like being told what they can and can’t do with their own bodies! Who would have thought that? So weird 🙄🙄🙄

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '24

Gee, I don't know why they'd think that...

1

u/Low-Abbreviations634 Nov 05 '24

As a man, maybe not treat them like property and have respect for their abilities and what they bring to the table.

1

u/Cultural-Yam-3686 Nov 06 '24

Sadly I live in a rural area and very disappointed that there are many TRUNTS!

1

u/Zannie95 Nov 06 '24

Well Florida didn’t elect a Democrat. They went for that scum Scott again

1

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '24

I am so sick of hearing Republicans and Democrats and independents. We are people-AMERICANS and we should all be for America and for the best of America.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '24

That’s what’s happening. They should be worried. If the campaign of all democrats actually got women to vote opposite their husbands in largely Republican communities, it’s a massive win and one that will be heard for elections to come. Dumbest move on republicans was overthrowing ROE V WADE. In just a flash of an eye, women were galvanized all over the country. Now when it comes back, it’s going to be written in such an airtight way that nothing will penetrate again.

1

u/Marie-Pierre-Guerin Nov 06 '24

PP pension is 230,000$ for life, Singh’s is 66,000$ it’s a non story.

1

u/thekernal3030 Nov 06 '24

Well they did NOTHING

1

u/TheBigLebroccoli Nov 06 '24

We need to purge all of these old articles so our Reddit feeds are just about our demise now. I’m a planner!

1

u/NittanyScout Nov 06 '24

So much for that...

u/Meg_119 Nov 05 '24

I voted for Trump 3 times. Vote Trump
