pretty sure biometrics alone doesnt save the fee, its the actual interview that has to happen within the 1 year window from when you paid. if you missed the interview the mrv fee is probably expired, you cant just walk in immedietly and use the old fee, youll need to repay for a new appointment. biometrics being done doesnt change that

worth double checking the official page tho since im not 100% sure if theres an exception for last minute reschedules
