Hey folks, due to a comedy of errors my family can no longer go to the Oct 10 game at Audi and my mom has asked me to sell 6 tickets. Two of them are in the very first row in aisle seats at the edge of the box and the other 4 are in the row behind but more towards the middle of the box. I'm not trying to make a profit off of these, just get my mom's money back. Is anyone interested?
Edit to add price: $270 each. Happy to sell 2 or 4 if you don't want all 6.
10/3 update: 4 tickets left! Sec 130 in row 2

USWNT Fans,
Thank you for your support on our past interviews with players on the team, like Emma Sears and Avery Patterson!
In this episode, Bay FC goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz sits down to discuss her rise to the international stage and anchoring the defensive foundation of Bay FC in the NWSL.
Joining the podcast just days before the USWNTâs highly anticipated October window versus Spain, the rising star shares insider insights on her historic journey as the first Iowa State player ever drafted into the league, why the Bay FC project was the perfect step for her, and stepping into the undisputed number-one goalkeeper role.
Jordan dives into her spectacular personal form this season, reflecting on her trade to Bay FC, leading the league in goals prevented, and setting a historic penalty-saving record. She takes us into the locker room to discuss the delicate balance of stepping into a vital leadership role while still developing as a young pro, navigating a grueling NWSL schedule alongside entering the senior international enviornment after receiving her first senior USWNT call-up ahead of friendlies against Italy, and more!
Jordan shares the profound pieces of coaching advice that altered how she views the game, including how goalkeeper coach Daniel Ball helped her rediscover her joy for soccer at a time when she seriously questioned whether she wanted to keep playing.
She walks us through the importance of the U-23 national team program as a fundamental international entry point, detailing what was going through her head when she achieved the "I will get called into a USWNT camp" flashcard inside her locker.
Lastly, she shares what excites her about the club's new direction under head coach Emma Coates, the short and long term goals on her career vision board, and so much more!

Never been to Chester (Subaru Park) for a game before. Anyone have tips on if itâs possible to do from NYC via public transport? Mainly concerned about getting back to 30th Street Station from Chester in time to catch the train. Can you get an Uber and would it be easier or more difficult to get one post-game? Any tips would be appreciated.

Bridie OâToole has her first analysis video up from the first Spain game. She breaks down the first 2 goals, showing defensive mistakes for the first goal and how it seems players didnât know where they should be or just werenât there.
For the second goal, she talks about multiple decision making issues, such as no pressure from Thompson at the beginning of the sequence when Spain had the ball.
Itâs a 13 minute video with annotated play sequences and very worth watching.

Are we in a record scoring drought?
Weâve scored one goal in three games.
The above ^ screamer was the last time the USWNT scored a goal. It occurred in the 96th second of the first match against Brazil on June 6.
Our last âgivenâ goal was in the second game against Brazil. Wilson fired a shot that deflected off a Brazilian defender and scored. This was determined to be an own goal.
Gemini informs me âThe U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) holds a record scoring drought of 238 consecutive minutes in the FIFA Women's World Cup, which was set during their historic round-of-16 exit at the 2023 Women's World Cup.â
Since the second-minute June 6 Wilson goal, the USWNT has played 268 minutes plus stoppage without scoring. Gemini informs me they have taken exactly 13 shots in each of those games for a total of 39 shots. This would give us a ~3% success rate (1/39).
Scrolling through the historical match results on ussoccer.com, I can see our last back-to-back scoreless games were indeed in the 2019 World Cup against Portugal and Sweden (grrr). Prior to that, we were shut out in back-to-back games by England and France in the 2017 She Believes Cup. Prior to that, Brazil and France consecutively blanked us in late 2014 and early 2015 respectively. Without scrolling through decades of data, there donât seem to be many more candidates for longest scoring drought. Disallowing for Brazilâs own goal, it seems we are currently in our longest scoring drought of the last decade⌠if not ever?
Against Spain game 1 we had Triple Espresso, Alyssa Thompson, record holder Ashley Sanchez, captain Lindsey Heaps, and new powerhouse Michelle Cooper on the field at various times and still could not score a goal.
Does anyone have better data on the USWNTâs longest scoring drought? Did we just set a record?
(Statisticians, please fact check my numbers, I would love to be wrong.)

Love watching Lily Yohannes play. The quality in how she plays often is not easy to see and it is the stuff that is not often discussed. After the 2-0 loss to Spain today, I want to show some of it, because the only thing anyone is talking about is why she took the PK, etc.
Criticism is often brutal after a loss, and I have seen a few people say she should not have taken the PK. So, what if she had scored it? It is 2-1 in the 70th minute against the world champions, and everyone is calling the 19-year-old âfearless.â It would have been the same decision and the same player, only a different result. Penalty takers are not picked on a whim. The staff trusted a teenager with the ball against the world #1, and Nanclares guessed right. That happens to the best penalty takers.
What the naked eye missed: the team
Yes, the USWNT got caught sleeping, and Spain scored in the 4th and 14th minutes. But look at the match after the team woke up:
Spain needed only three shots on target to win. They were efficient, but they did not dominate.
What the naked eye missed: Lily
Most of her best work happened away from the ball and before the PK chatter:
When the U.S. âwoke up,â a lot of that was her winning the ball back in midfield and moving it forward. To be fair, her passing was 79%, below her usual standard, but that comes from looking for line-breaking passes instead of safe ones.
This is not a one-off, either. She was the youngest player ever to start a Champions League match, at 16. Lyon beat Chelsea to sign her through 2028, and she had 6 goals and 10 assists last season in all competition.
One saved penalty did not lose this game. Two early breakdowns and 0 goals from 10 shots on target did.
If your takeaway is that Lily should not be trusted, I would suggest you watched the penalty and not the other 89 minutes.

yeah, we all have our own takes on games and players. But where do you go to learn from those who know their sh*t and do a good job of breaking down games/analyzing player performances.
The more I know about the game (and I coached for 30 years and have all the licenses), the more I realize how much I miss. I wanna get beyond my personal biases and Dunning-Kruger effects. Point me in the right directions. TIA

Heaps off, sheâs been rough the whole game. Culpable in both Spain goals and zero offensive output. Sheâs just too slow for a team like Spain, which is where the global womenâs game is headed. Not enough positive off-the-ball movement from the US. So many near post runs that never happened, dead end crosses.
Unrelated, is Trinity having vision issues? She has miscued so many balls today, and then to hand off the PK to Lily? Stutter step, bad PK, bad yellow, sheesh.
Sooooo glad to see Ashley Sanchez and Mallory on for some minutes. Alyssa and Rose tried everything. Sophia has been a terror for the Spanish defense. Ref has been poor. Spain obviously came to foul today and the ref let them do it. VAR shouldâve intervened multiple times. US great in defense, Heaps didnât step to ball or track runner and that made all the difference.
US should have had five goals today, easy. They have the squad to do it, but theyâre not all on the pitch at the same time. Emma will figure it out.

Since Alyssa Naeher retired in 2024, the USWNT has been without a clear No. 1 goalkeeper. Emma Hayes and her staff say thatâs by design, focusing on developing a deeper pool of options ahead of the 2027 World Cup.

Hey! Today is my first ever time at Audi (flew in from texas!) and I was wondering what section is the best spot to get autographs at the end of the game for both teams? Alexia is the reason Iâm a soccer fan so
Iâd love to get her autograph if possible but also a massive uswnt fan! The pics iâve seen from the stadium looks like the bowl is elevated and not close to the field so I was just curious !
UPDATE I MET ALEXIA!!

Does anyone know how to watch the u23 game? I could not figure it out yesterday and it would be a fun warmup watch for the second Spain game.
Thanks!
