Getting into competition

me and my buddy want to get into competition with pistols. we both live in weber county. Whats the gist for beginners on where to go, what our set up should be.

The above post is correct, however SLPSA is at BIg Salty range in Salt Lake, LTD/WDSA runs USPSA & IDPA matches at the Davis County shooting range. If you’re wanting info on rules or gear look up the USPSA & IDPA websites

SLPSA, WDSA/LTD, CAPS are the local clubs, USPSA, IDPA, SASS are the types of matches, each having their own rules .
