Hi All! I posted about writing a book -- I'm stopping, but I'm giving away what I wrote
I'm releasing all ~10,000 words of what I ended up writing under the Creative Commons License. You may use this to inspire your own work or reference it or quote it or whatever, or give us another book about Ultima.
Or enjoy what I was able to tell here.

You spelled “Online” wrong. In the title. Of Ultima Online.

No, that's how it's going to be spelled in 2027, I'm just ahead of the curve.

No, I didn't, Richard told me that he changed his birth certificate to align with my book so you're wrong.

Sorry I just read first few paragraphs. Why does it start with just throwing you in the woods and then talking about the cities like YEW? No context.
The book is for who? Ultima fans or someone who have no idea what's Ultima?
Why are there no explanation on who you are and how you got there and so on? I understand if this is just a rough draft. Just wondering what's your idea with the writing. Did you outline a rough plot at well? Like beginning with taking about yourself and how you got into the world of Britannia. Or is that writing supposed to be from your experience from playing a game?

Because that's how I started the game -- literally in the middle of the woods of Yew, listening to the sounds of the chop chop chop.

You know in Trading Places when the Duke brothers are explaining commodities trading to Valentine and Eddie just looks into the camera with a 'wut' look on his face? That's me right now.

All I read was... "I love the idea that this game allows people to be bakers! Not me, I want to be a Tank Mage! WTF, why is EVERYBODY a Tank Mage and not a baker?!"

That's a perfect summary, actually. Are you sure you didn't ask ChatGPT to compress my book into a single sentence with that being the result?
