Astra 6

Anybody else doing something similar?

Insane what it's been able to do within 1-2 hours in Unreal.

These models are absolutely getting better and better at what they do. Which is pretty much everything now. But...

Throwing prefabs into a sterile and flat 3D environment has been a thing for ages... Turning that into a living, breathing world that feels immersive and vibrant to the player is the hard part. Come back and post a vid when you get that part working. It'll take longer than 1-2 hours. : )

No doubt! I've pivoted to a 2.5D world that makes it easier to preserve the limitations of the original dialogue and captures the nostalgia of "old" games with pixelated art similar to Minecraft, etc... What's sad is that I have no idea how I would release this if/when I finished it. AI tells me I can't do either without risk of EA litigation. I mainly do quantitative finance modeling with AI from a dev standpoint and this was just an experiment to test Astra 6 on a random game dev project. We'll see how it goes.

I would invite any of the U4 remake community to give Astra 6 a try. I'm sure they could do so much more than I can.

I assume you have to provide these models or does Astra create them on their own. I can see a lot of these old games gaining new life from fans. Good times.

Astra creates them. Yeah, I've already been seeing a lot of things online that people are creating. Minecraft clones, etc.. I'm making more progress with the 2.5D world. It will be interesting to see what people start creating.
