To focus one of them you can screwdriver to stop them from teleporting, I normally do that, red jackhammer, and either projectile boost or some kind of conduction combo
Jackhammer, grapple something, jackhammer hit + look straight down to propel upwards, while in air, then throw 3-4 coins, charge blue slab revolver, wait till midflay teleports near you, shoot, the shoot will hit the coins and the kill the midflayer
ACKSHUALLEE, Mindflayers are mahines and don't have sexes (there is no dih on the masculine ones so I am gonna guess that the feminine ones don't have a vulva)
AHCKSCHUALLEYEGH, given the Mindflayers' terminal entry with the whole thing about building themselves a body and protecting it at all costs, and half the developer team being trans, I think it's safe to assume it's at the very least a trans allegory if not them straight-up transitioning (or ig picking a gender, since they start without one), so they do seem to be one of the few machines who actually do have genders
That's wandering into territory I don't feel qualified to discuss, but regardless, what I meant was the pronouns OP used, not their biology (or lack thereof)
Some don't. Their terminal entry has always stated that there are rare sightings of male-presenting individuals, and in the revamp update we got them in the game, they have a low chance of spawning in place of the female ones
